The only way to empower LA youth to become entrepreneurs is to have them BE entrepreneurs.
FENLA combines inspiration with practice, by providing participants with real-world entrepreneurial experience that will serve as the foundation for their future successes. Participants will develop a wide range of basic and advanced skills, work with and receive mentorship from local entrepreneurs, solve local market-based needs, and complete a real-world business plan.
At the completion of the program, each participant will receive startup funding to launch their business.
Future Entrepreneurs in Los Angeles (FENLA) is a pilot program designed by the LA Business Source and the School of Business & Entrepreneurship (SBE) at Dorsey High School. Each student will complete SBE’s NFTE-certified curriculum in the Fall Semester. In the Spring Semester, participants will finalize their business plan and financials, undergo customized training, receive seed funding, and launch their business.
