Orange County Senior Community Services Employment Program (SCSEP)
Orange County Senior Community Services Employment Program (SCSEP) is a community service and work-based job training program for older Americans. Authorized by the Older Americans Act, the program provides training for low-income, unemployed seniors. Participants work an average of 20 hours a week and are paid the hourly minimum wage for Orange County. This training serves as a bridge to unsubsidized employment opportunities for participants. Participants also receive individualized case management, career training services and employment support along their participation in the program.
Interested individuals must meet eligible guidelines including those below.
Participants must be at least 55; be currently unemployed and meet income requirements.
