Related to the 2018 Woolsey Megafires
CITY OF LOS ANGELES
Participants will be part of a crew assisting with the clean up of damages due to the 2018 Woolsey Megafires
Position Details:
- Must either have been affected by the 2018 Megafires or a Long Term Unemployed Worker
- Must reside in the City of Los Angeles
- Entry level crew member, $16/Hour
- Supervisor positions available, wage DOE
- Employment case management and
- supportive services are available
Work Requirements:
- Able to carry tools (50+ lbs)
- Able to safely use tools/equipment
- Able to work outdoors
- Able to work in all weather conditions
(hot/dry, cold/light rain, sun exposure) - Able to bend/stoop continuously
- Able to stand on hillsides and slopes
while using tools and equipment - Able to work as a productive team
member and take direct supervision
from crew leader - Employer reserves the right to drug
screen or run background checks - Proof of Full COVID-19 Vaccination
Enrollment Qualifications for WIOA:
- Over the age of 18
- Right to Work Documents:
- Valid Drivers License/ID,
Social Security Card, US Passport
Selective Service (Males only) - DD-214 for Veterans
- Reside in communities impacted by the
Bobcat fire
