Related to the 2018 Woolsey Megafires

CITY OF LOS ANGELES

Participants will be part of a crew assisting with the clean up of damages due to the 2018 Woolsey Megafires

Position Details: 

  • Must either have been affected by the 2018 Megafires or a Long Term Unemployed Worker
  • Must reside in the City of Los Angeles
  • Entry level crew member, $16/Hour
  • Supervisor positions available, wage DOE
  • Employment case management and
  • supportive services are available

Work Requirements: 

  • Able to carry tools (50+ lbs)
  • Able to safely use tools/equipment
  • Able to work outdoors
  • Able to work in all weather conditions
    (hot/dry, cold/light rain, sun exposure)
  • Able to bend/stoop continuously
  • Able to stand on hillsides and slopes
    while using tools and equipment
  • Able to work as a productive team
    member and take direct supervision
    from crew leader
  • Employer reserves the right to drug
    screen or run background checks
  • Proof of Full COVID-19 Vaccination

Enrollment Qualifications for WIOA: 

  • Over the age of 18
  • Right to Work Documents:
  • Valid Drivers License/ID,
    Social Security Card, US Passport
    Selective Service (Males only)
  • DD-214 for Veterans
  • Reside in communities impacted by the
    Bobcat fire
